For seniors and parents
When does my senior need to order cap and gown?
Most schools in our territory run their graduation ordering in the fall, with a deadline somewhere between October and December. Announcements have the tightest lead time of anything in the package. If you are reading this in the spring and have not ordered, contact us — late orders are often still possible, but the sooner we know the better.
How do I know what my school's package actually includes?
Packages are set with each school, so they differ. The Herff Jones school portal shows exactly what your student's school has approved, including gown color and style. If the portal is showing something that does not match what the school told you, that is worth a phone call to us.
My student changed schools. Now what?
Call us. Regalia is school-specific, and a transfer partway through senior year usually means a change to the order. This is a five-minute fix if we hear about it early and a problem if we hear about it in May.
What size ring should I order?
Ring sizing is done in person wherever possible — most schools host a sizing day, and we bring sizers. If your student missed it, contact us and we will arrange sizing rather than guess.
Can grandparents order announcements directly?
Yes. Announcements, keepsakes and yard signs can be ordered by anyone with the student's details. Regalia has to go through the student's school order.
Something arrived wrong or damaged. Who do I talk to?
Us first. We are the local service office and we would rather sort it out directly than have you sit in a national support queue. Email info@hjdetroit.com with your order details and photos if the item is damaged.
Do you offer payment plans?
Payment options vary by product and by school program. Ask us before you order and we will tell you what applies to your school.

For schools and sponsors
We are a new school to Herff Jones. How do we start?
Contact the office and we will set up a meeting with your senior class sponsor and administration. Most schools move over between graduation seasons, when the calendar is quiet.
Can you run a sizing and ordering day on campus?
Yes — that is the normal way we work. We bring ring sizers, order forms and staff, and we schedule around your bell schedule rather than the other way around.
What do you need from us for diploma ordering?
Your graduate list in the format the diploma system expects, your school seal, and sign-off on the diploma copy. We will send the current template and walk your registrar through it.
Do you handle awards for banquets and assemblies?
Yes, including perpetual plaques that get a new name plate each year. Give us the list and the date and we will work backwards from it.
